Meet the Associates

Colleen Cowhick

Colleen has over 30 years of experience around the world. Her skill areas include human resources, organizational development and new business start-up strategy and roll-out. She is an outstanding project manager who has led projects in challenging environments from Russia to Liberia and Iraq. She is an expert at leading and integrating multi-cultural teams to achieve business objectives. Colleen has designed and implemented human resource and learning and development projects for a number of businesses in Europe and Asia, including developing full in-house training. She has initiated and implemented international corporate, humanitarian development and emergency projects that are now self-sustained by local national expertise through her work in several African countries. Although she is a native English speaker; she is also has conversational fluency in French and Swahili languages, as well as beginning Spanish. Colleen has traveled widely in Africa, Europe, Central America and Asia .

Maryanne Johnson

Maryanne has 20+ years experience in Organization Development and Facilitation, especially relating to quality decision making in groups. Through a unique process for pre-planning, outcome identification and follow-up, Maryanne brings groups together to accomplish true consensus in decision making for tangible, measurable results. This process has proven highly effective with cross – organizational groups as well as leadership or traditional work teams who have potentially conflicting goals and agendas, yet require common agreement and commitment and follow through on a high impact issue or series of issues.

Pat Vigil

Well known in the relocation field, Pat brings clients an extremely high level of customer service as a direct result of her 25+ year background in both corporate relocation and the relocation service industry. She was responsible for an average of 700 annual worldwide relocations for Mountain Bell, US WEST, MediaOne and AT&T Broadband. Pat then joined Graebel’s Move Management, Inc. as Customer Service Manager and was responsible for providing domestic and global relocation service to a number of Fortune 500 company clients. Her expertise includes multi-tier policy development and implementation, counseling; expense management and cost containment, reimbursement and approvals; negotiating with and managing service providers. Her unparalleled knowledge led to her 3-year appointment to the Employee Relocation Council (ERC) Board of Directors. In addition, Pat is a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Relocation Council (RMRC); proof positive of her devotion to the ongoing promotion of professionalism in the relocation industry.

Betty Welday

Betty Welday is a seasoned Human Resource manager who has worked for four Fortune 100 corporations and consulted with international companies. Betty’s ability to work across cultures has led to assignments in Japan, New Zealand and Australia. Her global responsibilities included all facets of human resources from staffing to strategy, including executive staffing and compensation, organizational design, rewards and recognition, and employee satisfaction surveys. One of her more challenging positions involved supporting an organization located in Saudi Arabia. Unable to work in Riyadh due to her gender, she conducted all the work from her office in New Jersey. Most recently she was the Director of HR for Allied Telesyn Research in Christchurch NZ. In that position she was responsible for designing and implementing an HR organization for an international software company. The duties included executive staffing, organization design, business strategy, all phases of performance management, as well as instituting job evaluations and choosing a mechanized HR system that would link HR and finance. She worked as a member of the leadership team that consisted of the company directors and the CEO. Her final task was to identify and hire a local New Zealander to fill the role of HR Director and orient her into the position.

Sue Wombacher

Sue is a well respected and sought after HR leader in the telecommunications field with over 20 years of human resource experience.  She has partnered with executives and leadership teams to lead the turnaround of businesses by facilitating the creation of new corporate cultures while enhancing relationships with employees through human resource policies, initiatives and practices.  Her outstanding communications skills facilitate addressing controversial or difficult issues in the interest of making a company stronger and more successful.  Sue is equally effective in senior level strategy sessions and face- to-face meetings with front line employees.  She brings unique and valuable expertise, maturity, communication skills, business acumen and partnership skills to helping leaders manage large, geographically dispersed, organizations.
